Christina Gurnett, M.D.

Dr. Gurnett is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology, Division of Pediatric Neurology. She obtained her B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame and her M.D/PhD degrees from the University of Iowa. She completed her Pediatric residency at the University of Iowa and her Neurology residency at Washington University. She completed a fellowship in Neurophysiology at Washington University. Her clinical specialty is pediatric epilepsy. She has been a faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Neurology since 2004.

She co-directs the Washington University Musculoskeletal Genetics Research Laboratory with Dr. Matthew Dobbs in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Together, they study the genetic basis of scoliosis, congenital clubfoot and other limb malformations. She is the recipient of the March of Dimes Basil O'Connor Research Scholar Award and is a Children's Discovery Institute faculty recruit.
