Joseph Billadello, M.D.
Dr.
Billadello is Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of
Cardiology. He obtained his B.S. degree from the State University
of New York at Stony Brook in Biology and his M.D. degree, cum laude,
from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he elected to
Alpha Omega Alpha. Next he did an internship and residency at Duke
University Hospital. He then came to Washington University as a
fellow in clinical cardiology.
Dr. Billadello is a reviewer for Circulation, Annals of Internal
Medicine, The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Diabetes, Blood,
Journal of Biological Chemistry, American Journal of Physiology
and the Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology. An Associate
Professor of Medicine, his clinical activities include cardiac catheterization
and coronary angiography, graphics (EKG, stress testing, and Holter
Monitor Interpretation) and general medicine teaching. Other accomplishments
include Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine; Diplomate,
American Board of Internal Medicine, Subspeciality in Cardiovascular
Diseases; Fellow, American College of Cardiology; American Heart
Association, Great Plains Regional Affiliate, Research Peer Review
Committee. For the Veterans Administration he is Chairman of the
Merit Review Board for Cardiovascular Studies and Career Development
Program. The author of 37 publications, Dr. Billadello is also Consultant
for grading of abstracts American Heart Association's Annual Scientific
Session, and for the American College of Cardiology.
