Richard W. Brand, D.D.S.

Dr. Richard W. Brand is Assistant Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs, and Adjunct Professor of Anatomy. He received his B.S. and D.D.S. from the University of Pittsburgh and later did a three year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. He came to Washington University Dental School in 1965 and when the school closed in 1991 was Associate Dean for Student Services, Director of Admissions and Professor of Biomedical Sciences in Anatomy.

Dr. Brand has served on the National Board of Dental Examiners in Anatomy as a test constructor and as an Accreditation Team Member for Dental Accreditation for Dental Auxiliary Programs. He is also the co-author of Anatomy of Orofacial Structures which is in its 6th edition. Active in student affairs and admissions, Dr. Brand also teaches anatomy.
