Dr. Lewis Chase
Dr.
Chase is Professor of Medicine and Chief, Medical Service, at VA
Medical Center. He obtained his B.A. degree, Magna Cum Laude, from
Princeton University and his M.D. Cum Laude from Harvard, where
he was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha. He served an internship and
residency at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center in New York City
after which he was a Clinical Associate at the NIH. He then came
to Washington University as a Fellow in Metabolism, and rose through
the ranks to his present position.
Dr. Chase is on the Editorial Boards of Metabolism, Endocrinology,
and Calcified Tissue Research. He is a member of several professional
societies including American Association for the Advancement of
Science, American Federation of Clinical Research, The Endocrine
Society, and the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research.
His research interests include bone and mineral metabolism.
