Andrew E. Galakatos, M.D.
Andrew E. Galakatos, M.D. is Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and an Assistant Residency Program Director in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Washington University School of Medicine. He has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He had a Rotating Internship and a Residency in Ob/Gyn at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH) in St Louis; and then a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston following two years of military service.
Dr. Galakatos was in private practice in St. Louis for 20 years focusing his admissions atBJH in order to actively participate in the Ob/Gyn Residency and Gyn Oncology Fellowship programs; and has been a full-time teacher (initially as Director of Surgical Skills Program) and administrator in the Department for the past 13 years. He is an active member of national and regional professional societies and organizations, and has co-authored numerous abstracts and papers.
