Friederike H.C. Kreisel, M.D.
Friederike Kreisel, M.D. is a graduate of the Johann-Wolfgang Goethe School of Medicine in Frankfurt, Germany. She performed her post-graduate training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, where she also completed her fellowship training in Hematopathology. She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Hematopathology.
She is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Immunology where her responsibilities include directing the Hematologic Flow Cytometry and signing out the broad spectrum of hematopoietic and lymphoid disorders. She is the Section Leader of the Hematopathology, 2nd Year Medical School Pathology Course.
Dr. Kreisel is an active member in a number of professional societies such as the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), American Society of Hematology (ASH), and Society for Hematopathologists.
She is the recipient of the Leonard Berwick Residency Teaching Award and the ASTS/Wyeth Collaborative Scientist Research Award. Her research focuses on immunophenotyping and genetic profiling of B-cell lymphomas. She has authored numerous book chapters and manuscripts related to hematopathology.
