| Sharon McDaniel,
M.D.
 Dr. McDaniel is originally from San Diego, California and received her B.A. in neuroscience from Pomona College in 1999. After college she spent two years working in a research laboratory in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCSD School of Medicine.
She received her M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in 2005, completed her general pediatrics residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2007, and will complete child neurology training at Washington University in 2010.
Her clinical interests include general pediatric neurology and pediatric epilepsy, and she will begin a two-year epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology fellowship in July. During this academic year, she is serving as the chief resident for pediatric neurology and studying mechanisms of epileptogenesis in the lab with Michael Wong, M.D., Ph.D. She is a member of the Child Neurology Society and the American Academy of Neurology.
