Rosalind J. Neuman, Ph.D.

Dr. Rosalind Neuman is Research Professor of Mathematics in Psychiatry. She received her A.B. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from Washington University, followed by postdoctoral studies in Statistical Genetics. During her undergraduate years she was the recipient of the Gomberg Prize in Chemistry, the Tridelta Scholastic Award and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honors Society. She joined the faculty at Washington University in 1990.  Her research interests involve understanding the genetic and environmental factors that underlie inheritance of  complex common diseases.  Dr. Neuman has studied the genetics of ADHD, autism, hypobetalipproteinemia, type 2 diabetes, substance use disorders, among others.
