Karen Winters, M.D.

Dr. Winters is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine. She obtained her B.S. degree in Medical Technology from the Illinois State University and her M.D. degree from Southern Illinois University. She next completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. That hospital subsequently merged with Barnes Hospital to form Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Dr. Winters currently is the Director of Student Health/Employee Health Service and Associate Director of the Emergency Department of Barnes-Jewish North Hospital. Her special interests include student health and women's health needs. She is a member of the American College Health Association.
